Logramos esto realizando ajustes en los m\u00fasculos oculares externos durante la cirug\u00eda de cirug\u00eda de estrabismo no solo es beneficiosa para los ni\u00f1os. Tambi\u00e9n realizamos correcci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica del estrabismo en adultos. Aqu\u00ed, no se trata solo del aspecto cosm\u00e9tico, sino tambi\u00e9n de prevenir la visi\u00f3n doble. Los ni\u00f1os suprimen r\u00e1pidamente la imagen del ojo desviado, por lo que rara vez perciben visi\u00f3n doble. Como resultado, se desarrolla una discapacidad visual (ambliop\u00eda) que puede durar toda la vida. En adultos que han desarrollado una agudeza visual completa con ambos ojos, un estrabismo paral\u00edtico repentino, por ejemplo, conduce a la percepci\u00f3n de im\u00e1genes dobles.
